Abstract Submission
Please submit your abstract to drugsandcolors2023@uevora.pt by July 15th, 2023, specifying the
topic of interest to which the paper is addressed to. Information on the kind of presentation
(Oral or Poster) should be specified by the author at the moment of submission.
Proposals must include the following information:
Abstract (maximum 20 lines)
Keywords (between 5 and 7)
Name, surname, and e-mail of the corresponding author. The tentative presenter should be identified with an * and e-mail also.
Institutional affiliation of the authors (name, postal address, and telephone)
The contribution must be written in English, original and must have not been previously presented to any other
meeting or submitted for publication. Eventual acceptance will be confirmed by July 20th.

3. Historical sources for the study of ancient medicines, pigments and dyes
4. Socio-spiritual values of ancient medicines, pigments and dyes
5. Iconography and Iconology of historical apothecaries, pharmacies, spezierias and workshops
6. Diagnostics, Conservation and Restoration of historical apothecaries, pharmacies, spezierias and workshops
7. Musealization and dissemination of historical apothecaries, pharmacies, spezierias and workshops

After the conference, the Book of Abstracts will be available here.
Ethical & legal conditions
Submission of the contributions for publication in DRUGS&COLORS 2023 Proceedings implies:
1. All authors agree with the content of the manuscript and its submission to the conference.
2. The contents of the manuscript have been tacitly or explicitly approved by the responsible authorities where the research was carried out.
3. The manuscript has not been published previously elsewhere, in part or in whole, in English or any other language.
The International Journal of Conservation Science has partnered with the Drugs and Colors 2023 Conference and is offering a 50% discount on the publication of the articles presented at the Conference. The paper must comply with the template provided by the IJCS and will be peer-reviewed and evaluated for originality, content and presentation quality, scientific soundness and general interest to readers. More details, including a date for submission, will be given at the Conference.
